Laws regarding home products would fall under consumer law – start there . . . I doubt there is any specific law dealing with mirrors . . . but there are volumes and volumes on consumer protection laws.
don’t knwo about specific laws, but there might be regulations onthe maufacturing idustries regarding:
1 – Content of the glass (no lead, etc.)
2 – min/max denisty of the glass
3 – mercury content (I think old mirros had mercury in the backing)
4 – force needed to break the glass
5 – size or sharpness of shards of broken glass
6 – smoothness of the surfaces and edges
I am not saying any of that exists, only that it might.
Maybe you can google things like "Mirror manufacturing regulations"
