Well, I think that there is always going to be the risk of the same thing happening to your ipod but I put my ipod in an ihome to listen it in my shower. It hasnt gone awry yet but I think its still risky.

the best advice is not doing that, but if u r a daredevil then get a water proof cover for it. i think wall mart might have em.
just buy an iHome. why risk having to mess up your iPod
Buy outdoor speakers and put them in the bathroom while connected to the iPod outside the room.
